Accrediting Organizations

Accreditation is a key consideration for Round Two of competitive bidding.

Accreditation might not be something providers have thought about since the mad dash in 2008 and 2009 to gain accreditation so that they could continue to bid Medicare, but it’s a key consideration for Round Two of competitive bidding. Providers need to be accredited for the categories on which they’re bidding.

To get accredited for any new categories, providers should start the process with their accrediting organization. Here’s a quick list of the available AOs to help get the process started:
