Eversense CGM System Now Connects With Apple Health

Now diabetes patients using the Eversense CGM Systems can view their glucose data alongside all their other health metrics in the Apple Health app,

Ascensia Diabetes Care has updated its Eversense CGM app to seamlessly integrate with Apple Health so that diabetes patients can view their glucose data within the iPhone’s Apple Health app alongside their other health metrics.

Ascensia makes the CONTOUR Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) System and also distributes the Eversense Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System. The implantable Eversense E3, which was developed by Senseonics Holdings Inc., offers up to a six-month sensor wear duration.

The Eversense CGM System transmits data to the Eversense CGM app, where users can view, analyze and share glucose data, as well as get alerts to changes and trends. The Apple Health integration aims to improve diabetes management by allowing Eversense users to easily view their glucose data within their wider digital health environment.

“Supplementing the benefits of the Eversense CGM App, this update allows people with diabetes to access glucose data alongside other important metrics to provide a more holistic view of their health and wellbeing,” said Elaine Anderson, head of the Eversense CGM Business Unit at Ascensia Diabetes Care. “In an increasingly digital world, it is important that medical devices and digital solutions are interoperable, and we are excited to further embed Eversense into the connected healthcare ecosystem.”
