Medtrade East Highlights Two Social Events

The October 24-26 event will feature a Welcome to Atlanta reception and will see the return of the Ask The Experts event, which will be free to all conference pass holders.

With April’s Medtrade West in the rearview mirror, the event’s organizers have been working to improve on some familiar elements of Medtrade East, which runs Oct. 24-26 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center.

Medtrade West enjoyed a 21 percent attendance increase and Show Director York Schwab said that hopes are high that the trend will continue for the Atlanta event.

“The bump in attendance was a sign that people are ready to get back to business, but we are not taking anything for granted,” he said. “With that in mind, we’ll be rebranding the ‘Preview Night’ and calling it the Welcome to Atlanta Reception.”

The Welcome to Atlanta Reception will run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Expo Hall on Oct. 25, offering food and refreshments for the final hour of that day’s expo, which opens at 9 a.m.

Another familiar show favorite, The Audit Happy Hour, which became Ask The Experts, will return to its original time of 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24. Plus, this year, the Ask The Experts event will be a free event for all attendees holding a conference pass.

“The educational conference sessions on Oct. 24 end at 4:30 or 5 p.m.,” Schwab explained, “so that attendees can walk right into Ask The Experts for some additional knowledge and refreshments.”

This year marks the final Medtrade East, with Medtrade converting to a single show in a central location in 2023, with the date and location still to be announced.

“Our mission is to stage events that unite the HME industry, and having one annual event will help bring together buyers, sellers, and educators under one roof for the ultimate product and information sourcing event,” said Sarah Varner, vice president of Marketing for Industrial Connections at Emerald.
