VGM Opens Registration for Heartland At Home

VGM’s annual event is now taking place as a virtual conference with multiple daily sessions that will run June 15 to July 10. Registration is now open and free to VGM members.

VGM & Associates has now opened registration for its Heartland At Home virtual conference, which runs from June 15 to July 10.

In response to the impact the COVID-19 pandemic was having on events, VGM reformatted its annual Heartland Conference to run as an online conference and redubbed the event Heartland At Home 

In terms of format, each day during each of the Heartland At Home’s four weeks will feature one-hour sessions from the event’s five tracks:

• Billing and reimbursement
• Rehab
• Business operations and leadership
• Respiratory
• Accessibility

“Although we needed to shift to a virtual learning experience, we’re excited that the same industry thought leaders we count on will still be sharing their expertise but from a safe distance,” said Jill Blaser, design and development manager with VGM Education and Heartland education chair. “We’re also happy to share that many of the sessions offer valuable contact hours or CEUs.”

Heartland At Home will also include a special keynote from VGM’s Mark Higley, vice president of regulatory affairs, and Ronda Buhrmester, senior director of payer relations and reimbursement, where they’ll speak on the topic “HME in the Post-Pandemic Era: Analysis & Commentary.” Other special sessions include Change Management: Handling Changes Within the Organization as an Industry Leader by Wes Wheeler, president of UPS Healthcare, and The New World: Seizing Opportunity in a World of Disruption with VGM’s CEO, Mike Mallaro.

Additionally, the virtual conference will feature Heartland Hangout, which are virtual roundtables dedicated to each track where attendees can discuss best practices, challenges and success. 

Registration is open and available at no cost to VGM members, and attendees can register for Heartland At Home via the agenda page where they can choose the courses they’re interested in.
