Quality Biomedical Opens 7th Service Center

New Fort Wayne, Ind. facility will repair respiratory equipment for OEMs and HME providers in the Midwest.

Medical equipment repair and management company Quality Biomedical has opened its seventh respiratory equipment service center in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Headquartered in Boulder, Colo., Quality Biomedical provides warranty and non-warranty service and management for stationary and portable oxygen concentrators, ventilators, and other respiratory, enteral, and infusion-related products. The company is the factory authorized service partner for most major respiratory OEMs.

The new Fort Wayne service center will serve HME providers in the Midwestern region, according to Jim Worrell Quality Biomedical’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“Fort Wayne is a strategic location allowing us to provide equipment service- management programs to our growing customer base in the Midwest, reaching the Chicago area to the west, and into Ohio and Michigan to the East,” Worrell said. “It also allows us to provide additional support to our large regional and national customers with locations in this part of the country.”

Each of Quality Biomedical’s service facilities is part of the company’s larger, national equipment service-management and logistics service. Quality aims to help HME providers cut costs and boost operational efficiencies by providing equipment management and service programs in an ISO-9001 environment.

“This is another step in our company’s goal to be the first respiratory equipment service-management company with a national footprint,” added Quality Biomedical CEO PK Bala.
