NCART Introduces Rehab Carve Out Bill

The National Coalition of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NCART) introduced a bill that will carve out rehab from competitive bidding. The bill was introduced by Rep. Tom Allen (D-Maine) and Ron Lewis (R-Ky.)

Supporters of the bill maintain that rehab is too customized and therefore shouldn't be part of the competitive bidding process.

NCART is working to obtain more cosponsers and get a bill introduced in the Senate.

NCART lobbied for the bill at its May 9-10 fly-in. Visit www.ncartcoalition.org
