CAIRE & Quality Biomedical Sign Service Center Network Agreement

CAIRE’s Authorized Service Center network has grown.

In a June 14 news announcement, CAIRE said it has signed an agreement with Quality Biomedical, “a nationwide provider of fleet management services, and specialists in respiratory equipment maintenance and repair.”

Quality Biomedical, headquartered in Boulder, Colo., “will support CAIRE customers with in-warranty and out-of-warranty repairs, which are critical to support the needs of home medical equipment providers and other major healthcare institutions, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care, and other providers across the country,” CAIRE noted.

Quality Biomedical was founded in 2004 and currently has offices in Allentown, Pa.; Cartersville, Ga.; Dallas, Texas; Fresno, Calif.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Maryland Heights, Mo.; and Pinellas Park, Fla., in addition to its Colorado head office. The company services and repairs stationary and portable oxygen concentrators, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) systems, bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) systems, and ventilators, among other products.

The company serves 45 states and offers free pick-up and delivery for its customers, who can also ship their equipment to the service centers.

Jim Worrell, Quality Biomedical’s Chief Commercial Officer, said in the announcement, “We never forget there is a patient behind every piece of equipment. This is at the core of our values at Quality Biomedical. We leverage our national footprint and advanced technology infrastructure to work more efficiently than the competition and create operational efficiency and reduced costs for our customers. It also helps us achieve a fast turnaround of customer’s equipment so they can focus on what matters — patient care and service.”

CAIRE’s Global Technical Service Manager, Lanier Hogan, said in the announcement, “Quality Biomedical’s commitment to excellent service and national footprint will make a meaningful impact on how HMEs and DMEs experience service and access updates throughout the repair process. Working together, we can offer expanded customer support to providers as they navigate the ever-changing challenges of the healthcare environment.”

With the addition of Quality Biomedical, CAIRE’s Authorized Service Center network now numbers five companies, the others being Altra Services Professionals, Oxygen Sales & Service Inc., ReOx Medical Services, and Repair Authority.
