AAHomecare Forwards Competitive Bidding Problems/Compliants to CMS

The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) is forwarding competitive bidding complaints and descriptions of problems to CMS, as concerns and frustrations about the competitive bidding process continue.

As providers in the first bid areas work on submitting bids many are frustrated as they do battle with the online application designed for them to make bids by July 13. Compliants include the system failing to recognize passwords, to unhelpful technical support staff and lost data. Representatives from Palmetto GBA, CMS' competitive-bidding contractor, conceded the company's system is not performing to expectation and that efforts are being made to correct the problems.

If you have a specific problem that you would like CMS to be aware of, send it to Walt Gorski to mailto:[email protected]
