Invacare, VGM Partner to Provide Services to Independent HME Providers
At the Medtrade Spring show in Las Vegas last week, Invacare Corp. and the VGM Gropu announced its partnership , to give independent providers more access to government relations, education, innovative products and programs.
"By teaming with Invacare, VGM will give its members an even better chance to remain profitable, independent entities servicing the needs of millions of health care beneficiaries," said Van G. Miller, CEO and founder of the VGM Group.
The two companies will offer providers the following:
Full-time Government Relations
Invacare, with Cara Bachenheimer as full-time vice president of government relations and three lobbying firms in Washington, D.C., is a powerful force in Washington. VGM also has a full-time vice president of government relations as well as support staff with experise in grass-roots lobbying. Together both companies will offer independent providers a support network in Washington.
Leadership Guidance on National Competitive Bidding
Invacare and VGM offer a multitude of resources, planning advice and active persistance in preparing for national competitive bidding. Both companies will push for the passage of the Tanner-Hobson bill.
Public Relations for the HME Industry
Invacare and VGM will work together on state and federal levels to raise awaeness and fight for the benefits of home care and its cost effectiveness.
Access to Invacare's Full Line of Products
VGM members now will have easy access to Invacare's one-stop shop of products and solutions, including XPress, a new business solution designed to help providers reduce their costs while increasing operational efficiencies and boosting profit potential.
