Q: What's unique about your store?
A: The ability to provide so many different products. We are a small company and yet very dedicated to all of our customers' needs. We are in a good location in the hospital district of Fort Worth and offer a wide variety of equipment and products. We are one of very few DME's that provide ostomy products.
Q: What components of your business are working well for you?
A: The most commonly requested products are compression stockings, four-wheeled walkers with a seat, seat lift chairs and adult incontinence supplies.
Q: What have you learned from your experience in the HME industry?
A: The importance of education. It is most important that all of the staff have a full knowledge of all of the products we sell and continued education of new products and procedures. Customer service is also very important. With our product knowledge, we are able to offer the highest quality of customer service and dedication to each individual.
Q: Do you think the HME industry is changing?
A: Yes, most certainly. And it will continue to change. It is definitely a challenge to stay on top of all of the new procedure requirements and product changes.
Q: How do you think the industry could be improved?
A: By remembering what it is all about — helping people. There is definitely a lot more competition these days, versus 10 years ago. With the competition, standards seemed to have changed drastically.
