Renewing your DMEPOS Accreditation

Starting in 2009, CMS required all DMEPOS entities to be accredited by one of their deemed accreditation organizations. Accreditation is good for three years. So, that makes 2024 a big renewal year in the DMEPOS world. Although DMEs should always be ready for their next renewal visits, best intentions do not necessarily result in positive action. This is why it is so important to ensure you prepare NOW for your upcoming renewal, whether it is next week, next month, or next year.

Sandra Canally, RN, founder and CEO of The Compliance Team (TCT), developed the DMEPOS program standards in 1998. TCT reorganized and simplified the standards so that they are easier to understand and implement. All standards in The Compliance Team’s program meet and/or exceed the CMS requirements.

In this webinar, Sandy will talk about the most important things you can do to prepare for your renewal visit. She will review:

  • The top 4 steps to renewing DMEPOS
  • Details on some of the top deficiencies and how to overcome them
  • The importance of accreditation and maintaining the standards in between visits
  • Answers to your questions, which can be submitted during the webinar
