ACHC Begins Corporate Headquarters Expansion

The Accreditation Commission for Healthcare Inc. (ACHC) has begun expanding its headquarters in central North Carolina known as Research Triangle.

In a May 12 news announcement, ACHC said its expansion plans “call for tripling the size of the current building once the addition is completed in late 2024.” The larger headquarters, ACHC added, will accommodate more than 300 employees.

José Domingos, President/CEO of ACHC, said in the announcement, “ACHC has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years. This growth has afforded us the opportunity to expand our workforce to better serve the range of organizations we educate and accredit, and to support the healthcare professionals who depend on ACHC for guidance on quality improvement.”

The new facility “will enhance cross-departmental collaboration and promote efficiency for ACHC’s office-based employees by providing technology enhancements, energy efficiency, and improved amenities.” The additional space will be used “to deliver new education programs, featuring space both for dedicated ACHCU facilities and also for a compounding pharmacy cleanroom.”

Domingos added, “The ACHC Board of Commissioners and staff leadership look forward to providing our teams and our guests with an inspiring environment that supports continued delivery of the best possible accreditation experience for the healthcare organizations we serve.”
