Emerald, which operates Medtrade, has taken stock of last week’s Medtrade East event, which ran Oct. 24-26 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center, and is reporting it saw some growth.
The expo floor covered 27 percent more ground than last year, according to Show Director York Schwab, and attendance was up 20 percent over last year’s show, noted Vice President of Marketing Sarah Varner.
“It’s a positive trend that we believe will continue when we transition to one Medtrade per year in 2023,” Varner added. Next year, Medtrade will run as a single event on March 28-30, 2023, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
And when it comes to the 2023’s expo hall, so far, nearly 90 percent of this year’s exhibitors have committed to the show. Moreover, many of the renewing exhibitors have opted to boost their booth size in 2023, according to Schwab.
