AAHomecare Slates Virtual Conference

Industry’s national association will host a Virtual Washington Legislative Conference on Sept. 29 that will feature online meetings with lawmakers.

The American Association for Homecare will host a virtual version of its annual Washington Legislative Conference on Sept. 29 to connected with lawmakers on various industry advocacy aims.

“While we are still not able to gather in person, a strong voice for HME in Washington remains a critical priority in advancing better public policy for our industry,” a statement from the association read.

The event will schedule virtual meetings with members of Congress from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Sept 29 using Advocacy Associates’ virtual meeting platform. The platform will schedule providers’ meetings, provide background on each of the legislators they will be meeting with, and let HME stakeholders connect directly with Members of Congress and key legislative staffers.

AAHomecare will share more details on how to register and participate later this Spring.

The announcement comes after AAHomecare surveyed its members in January to determine their preferences for attending the 2021 edition of its annual Washington Legislative Conference. The survey asked if members preferred in-person attendance, virtual, or either option.
