AAHomecare Hosting Stand Up for Homecare Virtual Happy Hour

Oct. 29 online event gives participants the opportunity to catch-up while driving support for the ITEM coalition.

Longing for the chance to do the kind of industry socializing and networking that COVID-19 has been canceling since March? The American Association for Homecare is hosting Stand Up for Homecare @Virtual Happy Hour, a Zoom-enabled version of its annual Stand Up for Homecare event.

The event will consist of two Zoom sessions of one-hour each that will AAHomecare will host from 5 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern on Oct. 29. Attendees can go in “virtual rooms” that will let them catch-up and converse in smaller groups.

As most industry participants know, Stand Up for Homecare registrations support the ITEM Coalition, a policy steering group for more than 80 patient advocacy organizations. Those organizations have supported multiple HME issues.

“Your participation in Stand Up for Homecare allows us to continue to support patient advocacy groups that are strong allies on HME priorities on Capitol Hill and at CMS and also helps us add additional resources to our public policy efforts,” a statement from the association read.

Registration costs $75 and can be completed at aahomecare.org/events/5/standup. AAHomecare noted that space is for the event is limited.
