3B Medical Launches Prong-Free Cannula
New product designed to increase patient comfort and will work with continuous flow stationary concentrators as well as 3B’s Aer X POC.

Sleep therapy and oxygen equipment maker 3B Medical has unveiled the Freedom X, a prong-free oxygen cannula aimed at abate nose irritation for patients.
Made from soft silicone, the patent-pending Freedom X cannula sits under the nostrils to deliver oxygen without contact. The company reports the Freedom X will work with all continuous flow stationary concentrators and is compatible with 3B Medical’s Aer X portable oxygen concentrator.
“Developing an algorithm for timing pulse delivery with an external cannula can get complicated,” said Ted Jagger, vice president of Product Development for 3B Medical. But we felt strongly that solving patient nose irritation was worth the effort.”
The Freedom X will be available within four weeks, and the Aer X is in-stock and available for ordering.
