Medtrade Calls For Presentation Proposals Ahead of Planned November Conference

HME experts and speakers can submit presentations, particularly for town hall/panel-style sessions, through May 1.

With hopes that the coronavirus pandemic will have subsided by late 2020, Medtrade officials are calling for presentation proposals for the Nov. 2-4 conference and expo set to take place in Atlanta.

Show organizers are looking for professionals to share their “success and struggles” within the HME industry, experts with specific knowledge areas of interest to attendees, and dynamic speakers with experience keeping audiences engaged. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 1.

While the conference will still feature traditional classroom-style, “standing behind a lectern” sessions, town halls/panel presentations with two or more “discussion leaders” will take precedent over single speakers, according to Medtrade. Sessions that feature providers will be given “top consideration” by Medtrade’s Educational Advisory Board, which selects speakers.

“Attendees are enjoying the interactive and crowd-participating panels introduced over the past couple of shows, and that will remain a focus for 2020,” Medtrade wrote in a press release.

Session proposals should be formatted to last 1 or 1.5 hours in length with built-in time for questions. HME experts can submit under the business operations, executive leadership & planning, legal, retail and sales & marketing tracks. The Medicare updates track is reserved for CMS or Medicare contractors.

The EAB will judge presentations based on timeliness of the topic, overall content, audience interest, knowledge of subject matter and prior speaking expertise, among other criteria. Materials should be original and educational in nature rather than sales presentations.
