Alex Orthopedic Acquires Ergonomics Product and Pillow Maker Jobri

Jobri’s brands of posture trainers, neck supports and ergonomic chairs will now join Alex’s collection of orthopedic products.

Texas-based orthopedic and HME manufacturer Alex Orthopedic has acquired Jobri, an ergonomics product, pillow and cushion manufacturer originally located in Oklahoma.

As part of the acquisition, which went into effect on Jan. 20, Jobri’s operations have moved to Alex’s facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. Brian Gourley, the CEO of Jobri, has joined Alex as a “solution consultant” to help Jobri customers transition smoothly to working with the new parent company, according to a company press release

Linda Lavi, Alex’s vice president of marketing, stated that Alex will offer Jobri’s ergonomic products such as kneeling chairs, sit-stand chairs, saddle seats and footrests. The aim of the acquisition was to provide Alex’s customers with more items for cash sales, she added.

The company’s expanded product line also includes posture trainers, neck supports, arch supports and orthopedic products. The new orthopedic product offerings stem from Jobri’s ownership of Mor-Loc, one of the industry’s oldest orthopedic manufacturers, Lavi said.

“It also increases our pillow and cushion offering with new items like the body pillow,” Lavi said.

Brands included with the sale include BetterBack, BetterPosture, BetterHealth, BetterRest and Mor-Loc. Customers can find the additional products on both the Jobri and Alex websites.
