Universal Software Solutions Holds Fourth Bi-Annual Conference for Software Clients

This year’s conference focused on “bridging software gaps” for users of the company’s Healthcare Data Management System.

In an effort to “bridge software gaps” for buyers of its Healthcare Data Management System (HDMS) software, Universal Software Solutions hosted its fourth bi-annual Users Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan last month.

The event, held from Sept. 9-11, aimed to help Universal clients in the post-acute care field learn how to better utilize HDMS for customer service, inventory and billing services. The company’s education team hosted 18 one-hour sessions on topics like customer acquisition and the claims process.

Representatives from 14 percent of Universal’s clientele attended the conference, which featured keynote speeches from Ty Bello, a corporate coach and president of Team@Work, and Dr. Stephen Shaya, the medical director for J&B Medical. Allen Hunt, the president of Michigan-based Hart Medical Equipment, also accepted Universal’s Client Innovator of the Year award.

Dave Golen Sr., Universal’s vice president of business development, said that the conference attendance numbers reflected the company’s personal relationships with clients.

“Standing here face to face with our long-time customers and friends, looking at the 5-10 staff members each of these businesses have taken away from operations to attend this event, proves that our clients feel the difference,” Golen said. “I am proud of the relationships I’ve built for Universal and that they continue to stay engaged decades later.”
