Universal VendorLink Now Connects with Essity

Connection means that HDMS users can use VendorLink to order Essity products as well as drop ship them to patients.

HME billing and business management software company Universal Software Solutions Inc. has added Essity as a certified connection to its VendorLink electronic ordering and patient dropship solution.

This means that providers using Universal’s core application, HDMS, can use the VendorLink companion application to place orders and arrange patient drop shipments of Essity products. Essity, formerly BSN medical, supplies various incontinence, wound care and orthopedic products under brands such as TENA and JOBST.

“The operational efficiencies a partnership like this improves is a win-win for all parties,” said Brady Hoane, Regional Sales Manager at Essity. “The new capabilities offered make doing business with JOBST streamlined, more profitable for our dealer network, and more accessible for the patient and consumer.”

VendorLink provides a secure, dedicated, point-to-point connection with each distributor. This helps HME providers and open- and closed-door pharmacies avoiding having to order and warehouse inventory. Instead, warehousing and holding the inventory is managed all by the manufacturers and distributors.

“When our clients use the HDMS Outreach Services for patient resupply of products, together with our Vendorlink solution, it creates a fully automated process from outreach to billing for a ‘no-touch’ operation,” said Christopher Dobiesz, president of Universal Software Solutions. “That is a big game-changer for a number of providers that see reductions in reimbursements across product lines and therapies.”
