Cape Medical Supply Picks Up EHM’s Sleep Therapy Business

The deal will help Cape Medical Supply expand sleep therapy market reach in the region while letting Enos narrow its focus on the hospice market.

Sandwich, Mass.-based Cape Medical Supply has acquired the sleep therapy assets of Enos Home Medical (EHM), an established provider of sleep therapy services in Southeastern Mass. and Rhode Island.

Completed on July 31, the deal marks Cape Medical Supply’s fourth transaction of significant size, following the purchases of Cape & Islands Oxygen of Hyannis, Mass. from Cape Cod Healthcare in 2005; the procurement of Seacoast Sleep Solutions of Kittery, Me. in 2011; and New England Medical Homecare of Worcester, Mass. in 2016.

For EHM, the deal will give the company a chance to focus its efforts, according to Jonathan Enos, president of the company.

“We continue to focus our efforts on building the premier hospice partnership service in New England,” he said. “Cape Medical has a wonderful sleep therapy program, and we are confident our patients will be well cared for by them in the future. We can now narrow our focus and continue to build on the parts of our organization that we see as vital to the future.”

“We are very excited to expand our patient volumes in Southeastern Mass. and Rhode Island,” said Gary Sheehan, president and CEO of Cape Medical Supply. “We continue to partner with the leading healthcare organizations across New England and leading health insurance providers in this marketplace. Our focus on digital solutions yields a very positive patient experience, and we are very proud of our sleep therapy outcomes — our focus on data delivers healthier, more engaged, and more satisfied patients.”
